Hi,
Posting a question after my application is moving forward finally. So my timeline is:

Paper Application - Feb 2021
AOR - May 2021
Background check completed - Sept 2022
Test invitation - Sept 2022
Test completed- Sept 2022
Language Skills completed - Oct 2022
Physical Presence completed - Oct 2022
Prohibitions completed - Oct 2022

now my concern is looking at how fast they are moving, I will be getting my oath ceremony invitation pretty soon. I have my tickets booked to travel outside the country for January. If I don’t have my PR card but only a citizenship certificate, will I still be able to travel and come back with no issues? Citizenship certificate is not a travel document as far as I know.

Using the tickets booked you can go for faster passport application processing. Need a passport to come back, citizenship certificate won't help.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah but since I booked the tickets using the Indian passport, I can’t use Canadian passport to travel. And I don’t think I can have the 2 passports at the same time.

My question is as we are outside Canada. While taking oath I will be in Canada. I have also 10 years daughter. She is not required for oath under the law as she is less than 14 years old. If she does not come while I am taking oath in Canada. Is there any issue for her. Her citizenship certificate will be given to me or they can deny her certificate as she is not in Canada?
Response is appreciated.

Thank you for this group for being so informative. Finally I got my interview invite and they gave me oath during the same. It took under an hour to finish both the interview as well as oath. I was Scarborough Feb 2021 applicant

Was this online interview or in person?

Does anyone know approximately how long after having an online interview with an officer, they will update the tracker? Had the interview yesterday but there is no update on the tracker!

Congrats on your oath. You’re extremely lucky to have the interview in person. I wish I had mine in person too:(
