I am Canadian and my husband has his PR here. In May of 2010, he can apply for Canadian citizenship. Once we have put his application in, can we leave the country?? (I see on the cic.gc.ca website that it can take about 12 months for the whole process!) Would we be able to be out of the country for a few months while we are waiting? (We would get all mail/papers delivered to my parent's address to avoid any address confusion). I just remember that while we were applying for his PR, we had to stay in Canada and could not leave (to avoid problems).
I have looked everywhere for this question/answer and have not found it yet.
Thanks!!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
You can leave but when they send him a letter to appear for the exam and later for oath, he will have about 2 weeks notice to show up.

Yes. You can leave Canada after you receive AOR- If you need to leave Canada and want to stay eligible for Canadian citizenship, you must: make sure that you live in Canada long enough to keep your Permanent Resident (PR) status

Lad did you just reply to a guy from 2009? Were you that bored?

The guy is probably a citizen after *checks notes* 13 years.
