No it is not my property and I am just a tenant myself
This is a question for your landlord if he or she will allow you to sublet or add more tenants than the one your landlord intended to give. If you rented a house for example $3000 a month, and now want to rent each room to students in private or sharing and make $8000-10,000 a month out of it, then it’s still not legal. Your landlord is not going to like the idea and you could get into more trouble than just IRCC.

Thanks for the reply
But the situation is a bit diffrent, our rent is 2000 a month and the sub tenant pays the half while I pay the other half.

those this regulate the rule in the visitors visa that they are not allowed to work

If you’re renting a place, that doesn’t mean you’re working.
if your landlord wants you to sublet if you’re breaking a long lease, then it’s not considered working.

I have sublet the room to someone else because originally my mom was living with me and she left. So to make up for the rent fees I have sublet my apartment.(it wasnt because the landlord asked me to do so)

That’s fine. It isn’t wrong in IRCC terms. But your landlord should be aware you’re renting a room to someone else

You’d have to let your landlord know if you let someone else enter their home. It wouldn’t be an immigration issue, unless you’re on visitor visa and working on cash.

Look at your lease. It usually specifies if you are able to sublet your apartment or if you need the landlord’s permission. Some lease forbid any form of subletting. Unless your lease specifies that you can sublet without the permission of the landlord you are breaking your lease and can be taken to the rental tribunal for breaking your lease. It is best to be upfront with your landlord to realize that you are subletting without permission.
