As per checklist it is , but when you submit form at counter they dont even look at employment letter and return it to you

It's been 8 weeks exactly.....still under process......
I tried calling this high commision numbr 613-744-3751 Ottawa found from google but no luck

Dont bother, it is neither supposed to be uploaded and was returned to me at the counter without even looking at it

Yes, I've the same ack date, ridiculous office. No reachable number.

I think best would be to go to Ottawa and poke them, might help.

Go to 40 Gillingham for OCI.
60 Gillingham is for Visa and Surrender applications (40 Gillingham also accepts Surrender applications - I just submitted couple of days back)

Thank for helping me out so i submitted my oci application today but now i want to apply for entry visa because oci can take 2-3 months so for entry visa do we have to send original surrender certificate and Canadian passport in the mail to bls

I’m so upset, BLS is sending my application back because the signature is not clear. At the time of uploading it tells you to crop the image further to size and confirms that it’s ok. I don’t know why this happened. Have my flight book for December 14 , I don’t think I’ll be able to reapply and get my OCI on time now.

Apply, I got mine in 5 weeks, you still have time. Be optimistic.

Acknowledgement date is Aug 29th

I got my Acknowledgement on the 1st of August. I have travel plans on the 2nd of October. I really hope I get my OCI before that time.

Did you get OCI before your travel date? My wife is in similar situation, her OCI GOT acknowledged on Sep 23rd and have flight on 24th October.

When you eventually get your OCI, just check who has signed on it. If it was signed and stamped at Ottawa, then it means it was printed locally. I have renewed my passport a couple of times, and also gotten OCI for my kid. They were all printed, signed, and stamped at CGI, Toronto.

I see the stamp of CGI Toronto on my OCI but it’s possible that it gets printed in India then gets shipped to Toronto where they put a stamp, no?

Hello everyone, I applied for OCI x 4 for my family on the 17th of August at BLS Brampton, when I check the status on the BLS website it states "Processing at the Consulate" but when I check at https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury with my Canadian Passport it says No Such Record Found. Am I doing something wrong? I must travel on the 24th of October, should I be worried?

What’s the status of your OCI? I’m in similar situation and have flight on Oct 24th

I see the stamp of CGI Toronto on my OCI but it’s possible that it gets printed in India then gets shipped to Toronto where they put a stamp, no?

In theory, it is possible I think. Though it would be a monumental waste of resources.
