Hello!

I'm about to submit my CEC application. But I just found out that my NOC is regulated. NOC 2254

I have a master degree and am registered with Professional engineer association. But my current job is regulated with other association... Will this disqualify my one year work experience? Please, anyone has similar experience or know similar situation could you please help me. My work permit will expire October 2023... If I need to get a new job and start over I will have to do it now otherwise I will not have enough time to accumulate one year experience. Thank you!!!

Per NOC ...

and under Employment requirements

* Certification by provincial associations of technicians and technologists may be required by some employers.
* In Quebec, membership in the regulatory body for professional technologists is required to use the title "Professional Technologist."

Are you in Quebec ?

No, I'm in Ontario... I was misled by a random website claiming NOC 2254 is regulated. I just checked Job Bank, and found that NOC 2154 is regulated but 2254 is not. Thank you for your reply!
