Surrender Indian Citizenship questions

Hi everyone, I recently got my Canadian citizenship and want to surrender my Indian Passport. I need help with the following questions:

1. What type of appointment I should book at BLS for surrendering my passport? I only see the following types: Passport, Visa, OCI. I don't see any option for surrendering the passport. There are some Visa appointments available on the website. Is it okay if I book a Visa appointment and surrender my citizenship using that? Will BLS create any issues regarding the same?
2. My wife has an Ontario Driving License but it does not have our current address. What other document can I use for the proof of address? Would be great if someone can share their experience using a utility bill or something similar for the proof of address. What kind of document it was and did BLS create any issues because of that?

1-for appointment just pick passport
2-address proof -c/card bank statement deliver your home address (not advisble)
any utility bill like cell phone bill
any GVT latter received your address
health/driving licence change address temporary one use as address

FYI, under law, you are required to update your DL to your current address. Health card can also be used as ID.

Hello there, Need help. I & my spouse applied for Surrender certificate together on Sept 17 while I received my SC today. For my spouse, it is still showing 'processing at Consulate General' , We are not sure what went wrong with his Application and why its taking longer. Have you been in this scenario and if you know a way to follow up with Consulate about it? Please share. TIA.
