I had a call with IRCC few days back, the lady confirmed that there was no need to inform IRCC about PR to Citizen status change for the Sponsoring person...

How did you manage to get in touch with IRCC? I tried to call them for the past 2 months but could never connect. Someone else also posted earlier in this thread that they could call IRCC but did not provide more details. If you can pls share more details, it would be great. Thanks.

Just want to update, my parents got the pre-approval on Sep 30th and today we have got Passport request.
Time line:
Application was submitted on Oct 26, 2021
Medical: June 2022
PCC Requested: July 2022
Submitted Docs on: End of July 2022
Pre-approval: Sep 30
Passport Request: Oct 3 2022
Parents are back home so we will submit the passport back home (India)

Hope everyone gets Passport request very soon

Time line:
Application was submitted on Oct 26, 2021
Medical: June 2022
PCC Requested: July 2022
Submitted Docs on: End of July 2022
Pre-approval: Sep 30
Passport Request: Oct 3 2022
Parents are back home so we will submit the passport back home (India)

Today we got Passport request letter. My parents are here in Canada and hence as per the instructions in the letter ,we have submited a webform with the details.
They have also said in the letter that, if there are in Canada then they don't have to submit their passports and it will be a virtual landing.

Does anyone have any idea on the process involving 'virtual landing'?
Also anyone else in same situation?
