I applied on May 1st and still nothing. At that time the processing time was 4 months, now it's 5.5 months, so you're still within the processing time.

The SIN is getting expired too. Do we have to renew the SIN?

Not until you have your work permit. I only had to renew the medical from BC because it was expired, you'll have to check with your province.
