Hi everyone,

One question:

I and my spouse are living in India. I am a PR and my wife is not.

Is it possible to apply for my wife visitor visa while we both are living in India?

Also, I am out of residency obligation (out of RO compliance) as a PR, will this cause any issue in visitor visa approval and/or PR status.

No real issue applying for a TRV although a very small chance that someone looks into your residency obligation as a spouse and where you are living. That is pretty rare with TRVs. Much bigger issue for applying for sponsoring your spouse. If you are able to return to Csnada without being reported then you should wait until you are compliant with your RO before sponsoring your spouse. You have not met the residency requirements ever to receive healthcare so even if your health card is valid you need to apply for a new one if you plan on meeting the residency requirements to receive health care in that province (different than RO to retain PR status). If you don’t reapply for a health card you put yourself at risk of being asked to repay the government for any services you use. You should reapply while you have a valid PR card.
