Hi there,
Can I apply for spousal work permit, if my spouse is getting minimum wage in BC, and works as a food service supervisor?
Thank you

Tough to be approved at minimum wage. True supervisor should be earning more than minimum wage.

My spouse job title is Shift Supervisor, noc code 6316, still minimum wage?

The hourly salary should be above minimum wage if the person is a supervisor. It's entirely possible IRCC may still approved the SOWP. It's really impossible for any of us here to say either way.

Thank you, the consultant was saying pay rate doesn't matter. I am applying myself and had applied my study permit extension to visitor recorder and now tourist to sowp. So I asked here for a knowledge

What type of permit is your spouse on? We’re you a student first and spouse was on SOWP based on your permit?

I was not able to finish my studies after when my study permit expired, i have kept my status as a visitor record for more than 1 and half years, now i am applying for sowp, my spouse is on pgwp and working under NOC B

in my opinion, rate doesnt matter but occupation classification matters...

When did you get married and who was a student first? Did your spouse have an SOWP based on your study permit.

Pay rate certainly matters because you are asking to be counted as Being a supervisor. Was your spouse ever on SOWP when you were studying?
