Am I missing something? I mean, it read they processed 37% of applications within 12 months from 2020-2021. I couldn't find their aim for 2022.

That’s historical data, what they’ve done so far. Their target is to eliminate the backlog by the end of the year. On the link I sent you if you scroll down you’ll see the backlog 2.4 million. If you click on the permanent residence section (303k applications) You’ll see what they’re doing to reduce the backlog: “IRCC is working toward our goal to process 80% of applications within our service standards”. You can see their projection graphs and all that. It’s really beautiful, I hope it will be true

So right now 35% of family sponsorships are currently in backlog (+12 months). They want to reduce that to 20% by November 22 which will be setting them on course. 20% would be the complex cases I assume

I just saw the graph. It's beautiful, indeed! Me being a paranoid freak though, I have a feeling our application will be in the 20% backlog file.

Yo Gyan the amount of (racism) i dont know if thats the right term of being given high priority i can see on reddit mega thread is mind boggling! all applications that you will come across of US/NZ/Aus/Uk citizens get processed within 2-3/4 months for inland or outland spouses... its just crazy i am not surprised

You're absolutely right that there's a lot of racism for sure. But just as a point of note - I'm a white Canadian, my husband is a white American, our file is being processed in Ottawa, and we still just went through 6 months of complete and total silence since my husband passed his medical in March. We applied in November. We just got the pre-arrival yesterday. I keep seeing comments about how easy it is for Americans, or how 'every file' that is sent to Ottawa is finished in 6 months. It's just not the case, unfortunately.

Guys!! I urge you to reach out to your MP's. I just e-mailed mine again. They got back to me in less than hour. They contacted IRCC the last time I e-mailed them. It turns out, my husband's Criminality is being processed. His Security and Eligibility have not yet started. I would not have known any of that had it not been for the MP's office. On GCKey, it states his eligibility and background check are in process. Well that is a lie and the PR Tracker is more accurate as it states on there that none of them have started.

I am still finishing 5 months on 25th September, once i hit 6 months we will be doing that, but my immigration consultant i feel will say otherwise. They are pretty positive. Thankfully i am inland.

I called mp today
She said you have to wait 23 months
Just we can follow up if is it overtime :|
For visitor visa it takes 7months aswell
