Received test invite on Aug 30th for Sep 30th to Oct 20th window
However, my Background check is still in progress.
On September 5th I got a ghost update but no changes so far.

i took mine on friday (9th) - but there was the weekend after that so i wonder when mine will be updated. Also im beginning to get worried about the time it will take for the oath - i am travelling in december...
I have a slightly different timeline but my process is essentially the same. Montreal office as well. Got a ghost update a few days after test invite but nothing changed. And my test date was one month away from the date when I received the invite. I guess that's just the way this office operates?
Hi, I have received an update for a citizenship test between September 16 - October 6 in the portal. I have not yet received an email (checked spam etc), does anyone know what I should do? Confused if I'm missing a step or an email will be received in the next few days.

I called IRCC and the officer said that Criminality has been passed but I didn't understand if she also said Security is passed or IP. Anyways nothing is checked as completed since then
You should receive an email a day or two before your test. If you don't receive it, you can still give your test directly by going to this url - https://ct-tc.apps.cic.gc.ca/?lang=en
In case that does not work on Sep 16 you need to contact IRCC.

Appreciate you sharing the link!! Do you know if i can do the test any day between the range? I am aiming to take the test on September 18 or 19, wanted to take the weekend to study for the test.
Yes you can take the test anytime in the test window starting midnight of the first day..
You should get the test email a few days after the tracker notification that you're invited to give the test (my application details in the signature). The email just details the sign in process, and that your camera will be on etc..
