We submitted our application on December 10, 2021 and have only seen medical and biometrics completed so far. Eligibility and background check are still pending per the tracker.

Hi did you contact your VO ? Try to send a webform to them, so you didn't receive your pre-arrival letter?

Hi congratulations, we submitted our application on December 6,2021 and we received the pre-arrival letter on June 1,2022 and we are waiting until now for COPR/ PPR.
I couldn't login to ECAS, I hope that anyone here could help me.

Called IRCC again because the response to my ATIP request (finally) requested further information, the likes of which they already had (file #, DOB, etc). IRCC said that our temp file # is not actually attached to a file anymore, with no explanation as to why. Guy had to use a backdoor to even find our file and while it does exist, they have unlinked the temp file #. He wasn't sure how or why this would happen and says the file shows no correspondence from IRCC to us since the "thank you for applying Inland" letter was sent from Mississauga in May for our Outland app. He also doesn't see a letter stating the app was returned and so doesn't know what is going on or why. He suggested that we simply re-apply because it would be faster than trying to have them figure out what happened and get the ball rolling again. He said we could be waiting years for them to unravel the dumpster fire of mistakes they've made with our application. I am livid. What a colossal waste of 10 months of our time when we weren't the one who made mistakes. This government department is joke.

I am so sorry to read this. This department truly has zero accountability and do not care about the fact that many lives and families are affected by their actions. I pray that you find the strength and courage to move from this. And I also hope that you'll be one of lucky ones to get approval within a few months!

Oh no! I've thought about you guys a lot over these last few months, wondering if you'd heard anything. That's such a shame. Although it seems people who are applying now are getting their AOR in a week or two, so it may expedite it. But still. Absolute nightmare.

Sorry to hear that. I believe it's almost certain that this means they 'returned' it to you. (Although clearly may not have done the return part, or it got lost).

Please do contact your MP. The MP may or may not be able to help with respect to the one that was already filed, but the return process is absolutely an unaccountable dumpster fire and the MPs are the best chance of making it accountable.

[To be clear: there's a lot that they COULD do better with the returns process, but even by their own minimal standards - actually sending it back to applicants (returning) and the very basic step of explaining to minimal standards why it's being returned - they are not meeting them. Leaving aside that they can/shoudl be able to return by email AND with some basic notification through gckey or some other part of the platform.]

Thank you, I hope so too! You're right, there is no accountability within the department at all and those of us who need to navigate it are left with no recourse. So frustrating.
