Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

I've applied via postal at Surrey and it has been two weeks without any update since the mail reached to them. Any idea by when can I see the update on BLS tracking site?

Submitted my passport renewal application at BLS-Brampton on 23 August 2022. BLS Portal Status - Processing at Consulate General. Passport Seva Portal - Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate. How long it takes for general application?

Trying to get my passport renewed (expiring in December 2022). I have been on hold on customer service line for half an hour. Not able to get through to anyone.

Can I just walk-in to Toronto/Brampton centre to apply for it or is it by appointment only? Next available appointment is at the end of September/October.

Is it easier to get pick-up/drop-off instead?

What is your definition of easy/difficult? The process of air travel is pretty much the same everywhere. However, it might get a little tiring at busier airports.
In India, Delhi airport is busy and crowded if you are taking a late night International flight.

Sorry, I do not understand how immigration process can be hard or easy. The process is same everywhere. You show your passport, and you show your VISA/PR card. That's it. There is absolutely no difference process wise.

The only difference is how crowded it can get. And since Delhi has most number of International flights, it gets really crowded at night. Last time we had to take a flight out of Delhi, it took over 1.5 hours just to go through the queue at customs. And before that, baggage drop and check in at Airline counter took another hour, even though we were in the priority line. So overall plan for 3-4 hours if you have a flight between 11PM-4AM.

You can do walk-in. I did mine last week at BLS Brampton. Took only about 30 min to complete the whole process.

Hi @Bhaumik_Patel, I noticed that you submitted your passport on 23rd Aug and your signature mentions that it's in passport seva right now. When did they receive it? The date?

I submitted directly in Winnipeg(Aug 22) BLS and it's the same status "BLS Portal - Processing at Consulate General"

There is no specific date mentioned. I think the consulate and passport seva are pretty much the same stuff hence it's showing under process at both end.

Yes Walk-in is pretty quick. Try to reach early in the morning and your work may be done in 30-60 mins max. I went to Brampton walk-in on August 9 , 2022.

Does anyone know the current processing times? I applied on Aug 23rd, and have a flight to catch on November 18.
