Hi,

Me and my wife are on a workpermit and I am working in Canada and came to my home country this month as we are about to have a child in India. Our PR application is in progress and going by the score, hopefully, we should get an invitation by this year-end.
Can we travel with our newborn to Canada? What documents are required?
Is a visa required? If yes, How can we add our newborn child for Visa?

You need to post your question in the right section of the forum. Etiher EE or PNP ..
If you haven't received an invite, your PR application is NOT in progress.

You needt to add your child to your application (after the child is born) and include him in your PR application.
I am not familar with your immigration stream and have no detail to provide of how to add your child. (you posted in family sponsorship section)

Very important, if you do not add your child before your PR application is completed and approved, you can NEVER sponsor your child after you became PR.

If you do not want to travel with your child, you can include him/her as non-accompanying and sponsor him/her after you become a PR. But that doesn't look like what you want to do.

So update your application and include the child. Do not land with COPR or stamped passport even if the application is approved after the child is born and before he/she is added.

Thanks for the info. Yes, i would like to bring with me to Canada. I am thinking of raising a web-form as soon as the child is born to add his/her details to my application. I will attach the birth certificate to the application. Will post this to the other correct thread.

Child will need a TRV to come to Canada. You will have to wait until the child is born before you can apply for the TRV.

Thanks. I am thinking of raising a webform and asking the visa person to attach my child's details to my PR application as it is in progress. Will that work? Will attach the birth certificate to the web form.

So you have already received ITA and submitted your complete application?

No, I am waiting for my ITA.. Havent received it yet
In that case there's no webform to submit. You would only submit a webform if your application was already in progress.

You need to get the child‘s passport before you can do anything. It is very unlikely that your whole family will be able to return to Canada soon after birth. Are you currently on leave from work? When do you have to return?
