Hello everyone,

I would like to clarify on a few sections within the application before I submit it this week.

i. As 2 pieces of ID, I am uploading my PR Card and Quebec Health Card (which has my photo on it). Is this valid?
ii. In the Police Certificate section, I wrote an explanation stating that I lived in my home country prior to moving to Canada. Is this valid?
iii. In Immigration and citizenship status, I added my home country and wrote "Not Applicable for end date and my birth date being the date obtained. Is this correct?
iv. In travel documents, I added my passport details and uploaded first and last pages of it. Is this valid?
v. In address history section, I gave dates as per my PR application. Is this a correct approach?

Thanks so much in advance and good luck with all your applications.

Examples of identification you can use include:

  • a copy of the biographical page of your passport/travel document (as requested above and also can be one (1) of your pieces of personal identification)
  • permanent resident card (PR card)
    • A PR card may only be used as personal identification if your second piece of personal identification was issued by the Canadian government.
  • driver’s licence
  • health insurance card
  • senior citizen identification card
  • age of majority card
  • foreign identity documents, such as a passport or government issued identification documents
ii. In the Police Certificate section, I wrote an explanation stating that I lived in my home country prior to moving to Canada. Is this valid?
Example
You lived in France for one year (365 days) before you became a permanent resident 3 years ago. You did not travel to France after you became a permanent resident. You would answer “Yes” to the question and you would need to provide a police certificate from France if you did not provide one with your immigration application.
If you provided a police certificate from France with your immigration application, tell us this in the box provided at Question 10b.

iii. In Immigration and citizenship status, I added my home country and wrote "Not Applicable for end date and my birth date being the date obtained. Is this correct?
  • Check either yes or no.
  • If you check yes, complete the chart.
  • Tell us which countries you have held status in, and exactly what status you held or currently hold (student, employment/worker, visitor, refugee/protected person, permanent resident or citizen).
  • Date you obtained each status(YYYY-MM-DD)
  • End date if no longer valid, if applicable (YYYY-MM-DD). Leave blank if you currently hold this status
iv. In travel documents, I added my passport details and uploaded first and last pages of it. Is this valid?
Online applicant I have heard only require to upload first and last pages(plz cross check again) but for paper applicants this is the instruction...

color photocopy of all pages (valid or expired) of your passport(s) or travel document(s) during your (5) year eligibility period, including the biographical page which includes: name, photo, date and place of birth, passport/travel document number, issue date and expiration date.

v. In address history section, I gave dates as per my PR application. Is this a correct approach?
should be OK

Hello, are you applying online or on paper?

If online, were you able to find relevant guide for online method where it is mentioned that add a note if you stayed in home country (for police certificate)?

I am asking because the guide which @abbas.pasha copied from above is for offline paper application.

Thanks
