Very often I read about ghost updates in the forum. Could someone please explain what does it mean?

Ghost updates are when you see 'updated' date changed in your tracking system but don't really have an update. Nothing seems to have changed. It is usually an update or opening of your file, usually people get some sort of an update in the system a few days after the ghost update.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. So if there is a ghost update one can expect some sort of material update within roughly a week or two?

Yes... but in a day or two you should be able to see "real" update

Not necessarily. I saw two ghost updates in third week of July and have seen no progress at all...
