What is your processing office? I thought I was the only one waiting over 2 months from DM to get oath, but it seems there are a few others popping up here and there. It has been more than 2 months since my DM and everything completed except oath (Jun 29), dont know why i have to wait for so long and others can get oath update just 1-2 weeks after DM.

The 26 months time refers to the time which if taken, can give the applicant an opportunity to ask IRCC why the application has not been processed. Also the 26 months is the maximum time taken to process some (not all) applications in the last 6-8 months. According to the forum, 90% applications are being processed within 12-16 months. What Onakar112 mentioned is correct. The usual time taken by IRCC was 1 yr to complete the process from submission of application.
Many of my friends who applied got their citizenship in 1 year. This is from the date of application submission. AOR comes after.
However, right now, if you call IRCC, they will just say that the total processing time is 26 months which is over 2 years.
Many people in this group have got their oath ceremony within the 1 yr time period.
Well Said Rock On. The 12-16 months is what is being seen right now. The 12 months is from the day the person submits the application. The 26 months time refers to the time which if taken, can give the applicant an opportunity to ask IRCC why the application has not been processed. If you have any doubts about your application status, I think it’s better to contact IRCC through webform.Hello forum members. I need your advice on this. Its been more than 2 months that my test has been marked completed. Background Check, Physical Presence, Prohibitions and Language are still in progress. My question is that should I submit a webform in order to request information on background check ? As I have seen in case of most of the forum members, background check is usually completed before and after the test, if not than fingerprints are requested. None of this has happened in my case. Please share views.

Thank you for the reply. Doubt is created only because what I have observed in the forum, background check is either completed or updated for fingerprints requirement before or after the test. I am just stressed because there has not been a single update regarding background check. If you have any doubts about your application status, I think it’s better to contact IRCC through webform.
I agree with you.Thank you for the reply. Doubt is created only because what I have observed in the forum, background check is either completed or updated for fingerprints requirement before or after the test. I am just stressed because there has not been a single update regarding background check.
