I applied for refugee inside of Canada 5 years ago. My application was accepted and granted a Refugee Protection Claimant Document. I got married while I was a refugee claimant. My husband sponsored me, and I was granted my Permanent Resident. I then withdrew my refugee claim. Now I am eligible for Canadian citizenship. I am having a problem with the physical presence calculator, and I am not sure which category I would fall under; the choices are Visitor, international student, temporary worker, temporary residence permit holder and protected person. I need to attach the physical presence calculator with my application. I would appreciate your help. Thank you!

Are you planning to use the time spent as a refugee claimant for your Citizenship presence calculation?

Yes I plan on using the time spent as a refugee. I need those days to qualify.
As you said you withdrew your refugee claim, so you never became a protected person. The days spent as refugee claimant cannot be used for physical presence calculation.

Note: If you made a refugee claim, or were included on a family members refugee claim, you will not be credited time in Canada from the date of the refugee claim until you received a positive decision confirming that you are a protected person as described above.

Thank you for letting me know. I'm going to have to wait 1 more year.
