No family name

hello guys I have quick question
My wife doesn't have family name on her passport and m applying her family visa thru new online portal what shud i mention in family name and given name fields ? please reply asap ! i really appreciate

First name will be FNU (first name unknown)
Last name will be her given name.

her ID from the government and province will only show one name.

You should write the first name in the family name column .... I too have the same issue - no family name on passport- and this is what was suggested by IRCC....In Canada, Family name is more important than first name

I believe it is mentioned in the ircc website as well....in the form filling guide

She should update her passport and put your family name as hers instead.

You should write the first name in the family name column .... I too have the same issue - no family name on passport- and this is what was suggested by IRCC....In Canada, Family name is more important than first name

1. As per instructions, given name in surname, given name left blank.

as per system here, you should be able to leave the first name space blank......however, you can write FNU as well.....
