Hello Everybody,

I have a few doubts that I would like someone with experience to answer me as that would be a great help to me.

I have put myself into a very peculiar position. I only have 1.5 years left on my PGWP. I came to Canada in 2018 as international student and completed my study in 2021. I did NOT worked any permanent job while I was on study permit apart from a few GIGs and general labour jobs through employment agencies as these would work perfect with my schedule. After I completed my study I was unemployed for 1.5 year as I was looking for suitable job. I worked here and there for a while in these 1.5 years. Finally I landed a Job that would fall into NOC B. I was trained for this job through part time hours for exactly 3 months and I have only 1.5 years left on my PGWP. So my main question are.

1. If I work in that NOC B job for a year and score good IELTS score would I be able to secure PR through express entry ?

2. Would my "no substantial previous job experience" apart from those 3 months in current job would have any impact on my PR?

3. Should I be looking for LMIA job as 1.5 years wouldn't be sufficient enough for PR?.

Thank you,
Joe

1. Depends on whether your score is high enough for ITA.
2. No.
3. Again don’t know if 1.5 years for Canadian full time experience will be enough. Look at PNPs and consider learning French as LMIA is difficult.
