I hope I'm wrong but it's seems so. So far anyone who has contacted ircc has been referred to the 27 months processing time. I'll give it till the end of the month to see the reply to @wksj gcms that asks what's their plan for online applications this year. If no reply by then I'll ask https://www.cicnews.com/author/shelby?_gl=1*1n7o4iv*_ga*YW1wLVdnLVZLUDhpSmtqbkpUSHRIdURVNHNWQ1NfUERKT19WOFNkV3luVWpneVhsVHBienJvanBXX0VNaTFXdS1TYkc.#gs.8tfma4 to make a news story about it where they directly ask the minister of immigration and ircc to state on public records their reasons for asking us to apply online and then not attending to it at all.
Yes, please do! Did you know that many paper Jan-Apr 2022 applications are getting oath in as few as 4 months? In addition to asking why IRCC is asking people to apply online but delaying online applications, please have that reporter ask why IRCC is prioritizing recent applications instead of finishing up older ones. What I find completely unacceptable is how many recent 2022 applicants getting oath in 4 months while so many 2020 and 2019 applicants are waiting 2+, 3+ years and told to keep waiting because IRCC is backlogged from the pandemic. If IRCC is so backlogged, how do they have time to process so many applications in 4 months? This really destroys their credibility.

My friend no need to wait the last best time to act was yesterday, the next best time to act on this issue is now..please let's make a news on this, it is becoming alarming, honestly

I don’t think the 27-month is an accurate timeframe. Many online applicants in the October and November 2021 threads are getting test invites. Our single reference at this point is the internal memo we’ve Ll seen but that was for last year, we don’t know anything about this year’s strategy. I mean obviously paper applications are moving 3x faster but doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll have to wait 27 months for our applications to be finalized. Judging by what I’ve seen in the November 21 thread, I should be next in line for an update (AOR Feb 11th). I’ll keep y’all posted if I hear back in the next few weeks.

I think the 27 month timeline is a historical average of processing times in the past 2 years (like 2020 and 2021) and an excuse for IRCC agents to try to shut us up and get rid of us when we call them. Most 2021 applicants seem to be taking 10-18 months so far, with the paper applicants on the low end and online the high end

The point is, it is a shame that still a first come first serve policy could not be established. If delay is at the applicant's end (waiting for further document/clarification), it is understandable. But when June'22 application getting processed while December'21 application is still not touched, it is difficult to understand. It is a shame.

Given current realities with respect to processing priorities and timelines, it is an excellent idea to do so. I'm an online applicant and zero progress on my application. Many who applied on paper well after me have already completed their test.

No one knows and can tell you when they will start processing online applications with same priority as paper ones.

Given you're only 1 week into the process, you are better off withdrawing and reapplying via paper. But make sure to withdraw following proper procedure.

Not eligible for urgent processing.

Check these trackers for forum members processing timelines. You can extrapolate and base your decision on that:
2022 Tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_KE3Bu3C3gOyEm0mRVcJH9nEA2u2GOhfpUZOckOWmN0/edit#gid=1181391563

Thank you so much brother,
I really appreciate it.

I am eligible for urgent process.
How long it may take for me as urgent from what you read and see so far?
