Hello all,

I have recently completed my bachelors program in biology and I’m planning to apply for a pgwp. All of my required documents are ready, but I need to write an explanation letter and I’m not sure what to mention in this letter. I am going to explain the program I had and the duration of the program. Also, I have a part time job since last year and I want to mention that in the letter and state that I never went above the allowed hours of work time, and I will attached a letter for confirmation of my employment. My main question is whether I need to mention that I will leave Canada at the end of my pgwp or not. I know applicants should mention this for study permit, but I don’t know if I should mention that for pgwp or not. I’m not sure whether saying that I will leave Canada at the end of my pgwp is something good or bad.

My second question is regarding my temporary visa. I’m aware that I need to get a new visa and I need it in for re-entering Canada. I was wondering if I should wait for my pgwp decision to come back and then apply for the visa, or I can apply for a new visa now? More importantly, do I even need a new visa if I’m not planning to leave Canada in the upcoming years?

I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me with my application.

Why do you need to write an explanation letter?

An explanation letter is only required if there is something to explain (like more than one part time semester). Otherwise there is no need for an explanation letter.

Thanks for your response.

I assumed I’m supposed to include an explanation letter in order to support my application and increase the chance of getting the approval for my pgwp.

If I don’t write an explanation letter, do you think I still need to include the confirmation of my employment from my current part time job?

Additionally, do you have any info regarding my second question?

I appreciate your guidance.
