Filed single paper - sept 2021
Test completed in March but was still
Showing in progress, bg completed in April, got an email yesterday that you have to retake the test and in person at Kitchener ircc on 23 august, has anyone asked for in person interview and test

I know of a couple of cases where IRCC believed there was something wrong with the test and did not immediately pass the candidate. They made a phone call to confirm with the candidate and only then passed them.

Might be something similar in your case except that they want to see you in person.

Got a ghost update on 28th July 2022 but nothing has changed so far. No email, no online update. Anyone know what might be the ghost update for? Fingerprints? Something else?

If the background check is completed, that means fingerprints are not required. Fingerprints are a part of criminality section of the background check (other being security). If background check is completed, that means its done.
