Has anyone applied for study permit?i just found out I need one after being enrolled. How long is it currently taking within canada for protected person?

So you need to apply for a study permit and show can find your studies. You will pay international fees. Expect at least a month or more for processing.
A month or so alright. Thanks. Protected person is exempt from international fees at the university i applied to.
IRCC's website has an estimated processing time of 3 weeks. However people in the International Students section of the forum seem to be waiting a few months right now. I don't know if it's faster for refugee claimants.
My university never asked for my study permit although I got it so I can also get work permit + SIN…
I dont understand why a protected person needs a study permit. The university i enrolled in requires it.
Yes I got my study permit. August 2022. It took 2 weeks. I put a note saying it was expired and seized.
