Just read the ITA message in my account. Literally pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Been waiting for this day since 2016, now I can finally take the first official step on this journey. Many thanks to all the forum members who livened up this thread and generously shared analyses of the express entry situation, even if IRCC worked hard to throw curveballs at us at every turn. That really helped make the wait bearable. @wonderbly, @dankboi , @dxdroid , @Jaycejay , @Vidnomenon , @tapperb , @PRANIT01 , @RSub , @GandiBaat , @Windsor37 , @Alysson , @stirredo , @AlmostThere2 , @VVV62 , @seadrag0n the impatients, and many others whom I've surely forgotten. A tous les nouveaux francophones, même si on n'a pas étudié le français ensemble, j'ai tout de même l'impression d'avoir parcouru ce chemin avec vous. Je sais comme c'est difficile d'avoir à attendre encore plus même après avoir mis tant d'efforts dans la réalisation de ce projet. J'espère que les tirages vont devenir plus importants, que la note requise va diminuer, et que vous aurez bientôt aussi les vôtres. @ElvisRamaj , @mushymush , @ashu2111 , @sidou , etc.

For the drop to go below 500, the draws should be in the 3000 level by September.

You have 800-1000 new candidates added biweekly above 500 (at least until now) and potentially 800-1000 PNPs. So, you need to remove at least 1,000 candidates net per draw from the pool to go below.

Right now we stand at perhaps 7,825 candidates in the range of 501-600.

If the next draw is 2,250 then we are looking at CRS 527.

You should get points for two degrees. Maybe you are making some mistake with program type or ECA equivalency.

Thanks for the reply. So I have an ECA for both of the degrees, and both ECAs say "bachelor's degree (4 years)".

Is it the start and end time that is messing up the system? Because both of the degrees were conferred in the same year.

Machines can malfunction in any nation. They don't check developing vs developed nation.

Plus you will realize when it comes to government processes it doesn't really matter. US is the same. And I have friends all around Europe and Australia and shit happens there too.

Yes, that can happen anywhere but redundancies are a mark of an efficient/developed system. One machine for the whole of Canada is just careless in my eyes. I mean most of us have never waited for 81 days just to be told that the photos provided are not up to par and try again later with another 70 days wait...

Don't know about that but if your ECA report summary says something like "Bachelor's degree (4 years) and Bachelor's Degree (4 years)", you can claim points for two degrees.

The people who immigrate to US from India are more likely to be from STEM background, highly educated, talented and driven. So chances are less. There is some low skilled migration to US but it is not a lot. Indians in US have stereotype of being Doctors and/or IT guys.

In Canada it is different but still the less educated folks who migrate to Canada don't come in with lofty expectations in terms of job. They will do any jobs. Now drug addiction is different but Indians won't be homeless for the lack of trying or being too proud to not do jobs. From time to time people poke fun at people flipping burgers or similar kind of jobs (on this thread). But at the end of the day they are still making honest living and guess what even with that kind of start to their life in Canada, many do save and buy homes and become landlords and add additional income streams. ( They may not be the ideal landlords ) But yeah most will work hard and not expect handouts. You have to admire that.

People need to learn to respect any effort that someone is doing to earn a living. They may have not so favourable circumstances as you, but they fight and give their best to have a fulfilled life, and thats what matters !

Even though I complain about my landlord, I think many fail to understand the point he gave me an opportunity to start in Canada without a credit score nothing, many people won't do that,His behavior might be unacceptable in many cases but as I always say I don't think he is a bad person.

This is what I am against flipping burgers in some cases ,here I have seen students (I was also once a student in US) Just come here to work ,they don't have any clue about their course work and fooling the system ,just to have some temporary comfort and rude behavior (but again no judging, it is their life) and we pay taxes thing and the feeling of entitlement.

Similarly I went to NE calgary, where most Indians live believe me that area looks really rich and the housing price is very high in that side(I didn't like the neighborhood though becauseof the way homes are constructed),so I think they are really doing good,I think indians stick to themselves not because they are looking for cheap suburbs (atleast in calgary) but they want to stay with in their community (which I am not a big fan)
I am a person who always support people who work hard /smart to make a life irrespective of color ,nationality and religion, Many people in my life gave me chances and opportunities for example my manager in US he was a Mexican, my previous director a black guy,now a French guy.
So if I have given vibes of not liking people that is wrong ,I might be critical but at the end of the day I don't hate anyone.
