Wooow... I can't believe you received a refusal after all that you've been through. Hope you sort it out in the next application!

Have you thought about studying in another country? I researched a lot about education in nordic countries and found that they have very clear rules when it comes to international students and they also let you apply with your family. Also, costs are not that different from Canadian universities and refusal rates are very low. In case you find it interesting, you should look up information about Denmark, Sweden and Finland for example. Some of these countries are even creating new laws to facilitate the inflow of international students.

Best of luck!!!

They'll probably put it on hold pending litigation. Could you post the notes when they arrive? After redacting the personal information, of course. Would be interesting to see the reason of refusal and if the VO acknowledged the JR settlement or not.

It's interesting how few self-represented litigants have taken on IRCC for TRV and study-permit refusals. I think there are only two or three people who self-represented at a full trial in the last 20 years for TRV refusals and only one for study-permit refusal.

How do prefer communicating with the Registry? Email or Fax?

Thanks for the update, by the way. Don't lose hope - I know you will succeed and get your visa.

Problem with those countries is permanent settlement is close to impossible unless you marry a citizen. Racism is far more present as well, especially against South Asians.

You should look into the new laws that came into effect this year regarding international students in Finland por example. Pretty straight forward the path for permanent residence and even citizenship, the law has around 3 months since it was implemented. It basically allows international students to get a work permit for up to two years and they changed the type of permit for students, meaning that the duration of the program now counts towards the required 4 or 5 (can't remember which one exactly) years of residence to apply for PR.

Again, it's just a thought and also... PR in Canada is far from a simple and easy process according to what I've read.
