Please house, I need some ideas here.
I'm planning to bring my parents here permanently with my mum being able to work and get income for herself and husband (my dad won't be able to work). I haven't been successful with the PGP so I'm looking for other routes even though I know it might be longer.
I'm torn between applying for a regular visitor visa or super visa. Here are the things in my head:
Apply for regular visa (option to stay for 6 months max), then search for lmia job for my mum, if successful, apply for work visa and hope for PR down the line. If work option doesn't come, then I'll apply for school from inside Canada and proceed to work permit 》》 then PR afterwards. (I don't know if you can apply for study permit from inside Canada.

The other option is to apply for super visa and proceed with the work or school option as above. The only difference is that if the work/school doesn't work, then they'll still be able to stay here for at least 5 years even though it will be expensive for me.

Please I need your thoughts/ideas/suggestions/critics to help me please. Thanks in advance

Regarding your study visa plan "Foreign nationals who are in-Canada visitors are not eligible to apply for a study permit from within Canada unless they are exempt under section R215"

Unfortunately, I'm not sure about work permit and all. How old is your mom?

I prefer super visa for parents than regular visa (my personal opinion).

You might want to research on the CIC website to see if one can apply for work permit in Canada while on visitors visa. If yes then your job route may work. Finding a job maybe be the issue but I must say I like the way you're thinking.

the age group of your mom and taking in consideration that your dad cannot work ,would leave you with only one choice and that is the Super Visa ,check online the insurance coverage for both your parent since its a requirement . if she was accepted to continue education you still have to add an average of $ 20000 per year for that and it doesnt necessarily lead into getting a job after she graduates ,again considering the age group or the skill she might have and if she is needed .

Realistically getting a WP or a study permit for your mother is likely going to be very difficult. It will be pretty clear that her goal is to live close to her son and not to be a genuine student or worker. She can visit via a supervisa but having parents move to Canada is never guaranteed. Even if the current system continues demand far exceeds spots and our health system is facing huge issues which may put pressure on the PGP program.
