I am yet to receive my passport back as well. Although the portal is now showing that my application is finalized and valid copr counterfoil issued. Also vfs notification update has been coming in. I sent the passport in on June 10 that's a Friday and it was a long weekend. Also my spouse is yet to be added even though I had included a request letter in my passport transmission.

@Morahh can you clarify what is the issue here. do you mean IRCC has not added your spouse yet to the application? or they did not send a PPR for your spouse even though he/she was a dependent in the application?

She is yet to be added. I applied as single, I got married Feb 2021 informed them sometime in 2021 and again in March 2022. I got PPR in June 2022 for myself alone. I sent passport in and it's ready for pick up today. I'm not sure what the decision is but will find out soon when it is delivered by courier. Although like I mentioned earlier, on the portal I see a valid copr has been issued to me alone. Even though I included a letter in my passport submission stating I got married and would like my spouse added to the application.

@Morahh in this situation, even if they issue this COPR, it will have to be cancelled as your family composition has changed. It is surprising it has reached the PPR stage but clearly they missed out on your communication. Once your spouse is added, you should see him/her in the "View Dependents" section on the portal.

You should contact IRCC and the visa office via e-mail, webform, or call them to get this sorted out. If you have copies of previous communication, you can send that to them too.

All the best!

@cansha We finally just recd our RFV request today and expect that it will have an expiry of March 2023 (our current medical exam was passed on March 9, 2022). However, we are expecting our second child in Oct/Nov 2022; will IRCC re-issue COPRs with longer validity if we do upfront exams for all of us in Nov/Dec 2022?

We believe that March 2023 will be too soon to travel with a newborn so wanted to know what can be done in such a situation.

Congrats on both PPR and new addition to family. Yes you can get new COPRs if you inform IRCC of your situation. I'm not sure of medicals. In any case I think your wife can't get X-Ray done now in pregnancy. If they request a medical get it done. I don't see any reason to do an upfront medical. They may choose to extend your medical.

Other option is to land and come back and add sponsor baby later on. Or if you are up to it just make a move and give birth in Canada and baby is Canadian citizen.

@cansha thank you for your response. since we have waited this long for the PPR, we have decided that we might as well take some more time before we move there permanently. it will be challenging to manage the newborn in the winter there so might as well land in the coming summer.

Finally I can write my timeline

23 March 2018 - OINP application submitted
14 June 2018 - Nomintion received
29 June 2018 - AOR
23 August 2018 - Background check started
13 March 2019 - file transferred to NDVO
9 April 2020 - Remedical request received
15 April 2020 - Application approved after the submission of medicals
21 March 2022 - Got Married
22 March 2022 - PPR for Principal Applicant
24 March 2022 - Intimation for adding spouse
17 May 2022 - Request for documents of spouse
7 June 2022 - Finally PPR
16 June 2022 - Passport submission in London

Congratulations. My own wait continues. They've not even acknowledged my request to add accompanying spouse. Canada is worth it I believe. Except you have some unfortunate isolated experience which I pray and believe you won't.

Congrats again and all the best.

Yeah that makes sense. Moving in summer is better for apartment search etc.

Hi everyone,

Appreciate your valuable thoughts on my case. I was asked to RPRF and after that payment, IRCC sent a POF (Submit a detailed service letter). Now it is almost near to 1 month after the service letter submission. Is this a normal situation?

Thank you
