Hi!
I recently applied for my Canada study permit using the new ircc portal and NOT the GCkey from Dubai, UAE for my undergraduate study permit. Has anyone used the new IRCC portal for their study permit application and received PPR if so please tell me the timeline? Is the processing time faster than GCkey? I applied July 12th, will I be able to get the permit by September 5th?
Please let me know. Any guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks!

There is no portal faster than the other. Processing averages 12 weeks so if you receive a response by September 5, you are fortunate. You waited late to apply for Fall.

I know... but the only reason was that I received my admissions offer on July 5. It is mentioned that it takes average 12 weeks for all applications outside canada but isn't the processing time dependent on the country of application ?

Not based on country but Dubai probably has the the longest processing times and highest refusals. Most people who apply are on work permits so cannot show ties to home country/country of birth.
