I'm planning to enter Canada from Roxham road soon as asylum seeker, and I'm wondering about some points

1) Is there any other Illegal border can I use, as I heard the cases in Quebec too much and processing time very slow
2) When I will get the response after the hearing day, are there fixed days to get the response or it will take long
3) Any recommendations or suggestions about entering from Roxham Road will be appreciated

Thanks In Advance,
Abdullah

It can sometimes take months to hear back after your hearing. Most hear back between 2 weeks to 2 months but there is definitely no guarantee of under 30 days. Given current wait times you should be planning on potentially waiting up to 2 years to get a hearing. It is not unusual to get rejected and need to appeal. Applying for asylum tends to be a multi-year process with no guarantees. If you have any other options that is always the better choice. Applying for asylum is a marathon and very tough so be prepared. Applying for asylum is a federal system so cases are redistributed to areas that have less applicants and are held virtually.
