Hi everyone
I want to email Scarborough office to grant me an oath date it's been one month since everything is completed and dm but no news of oath.. Which email do i use, the one that sent me test instructions?
Do i just request them for oath or do i also have to give them info like applicantion number, full name, dob?

Actually i just called ircc and they said even though its not updated online, my Certificate is sent out yesterday

There's no set format.. Just told them I never received an acknowledgment for the first so here's another email before you send me a request .. lol

All 4 passports received today AM at the Scarborough passport office - this ends our immigration journey. Good luck, everyone !

Hi, fellow July applicants. So happy that many of you have completed the journey already! Mine is still in progress. Anyway, I have a question for those who have already received their citizenship certificate. I understand that it is sent by regular mail (shudders!!). The question I have is whether the envelope that the certificate came in had a "Do Not Forward" label?

I am asking this because I am thinking of setting up a mail forwarding service with Canada Post to my more secure PO Box address. This is because the mailbox at my physical address is not in a good condition, and I am just afraid that the certificate (when the time comes), if deposited in that mailbox, might be vulnerable to water damage from the rain.

Alternatively, I am thinking of adding my PO Box address as my mailing address to my file. However, a search on this forum revealed comments against such practice because apparently, having a PO Box address on file might trigger a residential questionnaire from IRCC, and certainly, I do not want any unnecessary delays to my application at this point.

Any ideas? I might also post this question in the main forum if necessary.

I am assuming I will get an email 1 week before correct?

Hello Everyone,

Just checked my tracker and saw an update(Finally!):

Language, Prohibitions, Presence In Progress => Completed on July 12
Citizenship Ceremony scheduled on August 18

Haven't recieved any email yet but it might come close to the oath date. 3 questions:
1. Anything specific that needs to be done during the oath? I read someone explaining noting a name and filling some form as soon as your oath completes.
2. How long does it usually take from OATH >> Certificate >> Passport (Scarborough office)?
3. Is there a fee associated with applying for the passport?

Mine got closed on Friday as well, it says you will receive documents in a few weeks, but I believe it will be there in couple of days.
I think they dont follow any procedures, just randomly sends out email saying “You haven’t sent the oath form” so they dont need to track down mail sent by the applicant, less to no effort for them.

I got my oath update today. It’s scheduled for Aug 3rd. But on the portal I see two updates for oath with same updates and the oath ceremony status still shows not started. When will it get changed to in progress, on the oath date?

For me too the update says scheduled for oath ceremony but oath ceremony status still shows not started . Is it common?
