Hi Folks,

I received my UK police certificate today and I want to upload it as requested by CIC. The weird thing is when I hit the upload button, it brings me to this screen and I'm not really too sure what to put in the country/territory of issue and expiry date.

1) Country of issue - I am Indian citizen residing in UK for past 3 years. In the dropdown for Country of Issue, all other countries are just mentioned as country name , whereas UK has got 6 options and none of them is for a UK resident. 6 options are :
  1. UK - British citizen
  2. UK - British overseas territories citizen
  3. UK - British overseas citizen
  4. UK - British subject
  5. UK - British national (overseas)
  6. UK - British protected person
2) expiry date - there's no expiry date on police certificate. I googles it on forums , people are putting anything - 3mo/6mo/1 year. Any suggestion on what should I actually put from experience?

Thanks for all the help in advance !

i am in similar situation as you. what did you choose in country of issue?
what did you do about expiry date for UK PCC?
The UK pcc has document number but if you put it with “/“ inclusive, it throws an error. any clue what you did about it?

thanks

Hi,
1. i had put document number without /
2. Country - I had put UK- British citizen
3. Expiry date - 1 year.

I added a page at the end of pdf explaining that -
"The requested police certificate is attached.

Clarification:

When I try to upload, it brings me this screen and asks for country/territory of issue. I am Indian citizen, residing in UK. I am not a British citizen. However, there is no option to select UK resident in the dropdown. Hence, I am selecting UK – British Citizen to move ahead in document upload.

Also, there is no expiry date in the certificate. I have assumed it to be 1 year."

Hey,

Thanks for the response. Did you have to upload the Indian PCC in the same file? I am from Pakistan and currently residing in the UK. So also adding Pakistani PCC (last country of residence). All the PCCs are going in one file.

Although I understand that current country of residence (i.e., UK) PCC is the most important when it comes to ADR. But how is the idea of putting in details of old COR PCC (Pakistan) as it will also be in the same file?

Thanks again for your prompt response. Looking forward to your suggestion

Yes merge all PCCs in one file and upload it.
