Eligibility Test for FSWP

I had seen this IRCC page about the selection factors involved in determining eligibility for the FSWP:

On trying the eligibility test on the IRCC website starting with the link:

There seemed to be one question there that focussed on the work history:
In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation. Answer options:
None
Less than One
Two to Three
Four to Five
Six or more

Since I have worked in different occupations, the one occupation I had worked the most full-time was for a duration of 19 months which would be between 1 and 2 years. But that doesn't fit with any of the options of the question above so I was wondering what would make sense among the options for myself?

Also, I had done this this job after graduating with my bachelor's degree in Statistics, that was the qualification that led me get this job which would be my primary occupation. But I had gotten a different Masters degree in History later on which is the degree I was getting evaluated for the ECA for the my Express Entry application, do I need to get the Bachelor's degree evaluated for the ECA too even though it is not the highest degree?

only when your experience hits 24 months you can opt - two to three
19 months is considered as ONE by IRCC
And there is ONE in the drop down list

regarding your different education credentials, it doesn't matter what subject you studied/graduated. so not a problem at all. You don't have to get the bachelors assessed unless WES asks you to submit the bachelors

Thanks for your response! It seems like I missed the one year option in there.

But where does IRCC say that you have to claim 1 year until you reach 24 months? There's no 1 to 2 year option to choose and 20 months is more than 1.5 years so basic math would round it off to 2 instead of 1.

Also, I have a total experience of more than 3 years but in different occupations but here it's asking me for work experience for only 1 occupation even though multiple occupations are allowed by IRCC. So shouldn't I fill in the details considering the full work experience time I have here?


Plus, do any of the details sent in the FSWP eligibility test really get reviewed by IRCC properly to actually matter to need to take care of this? From what I can see, this is only a basic eligibility test for you to start filling out your profile. It's the details in the profile and CRS score that really matters and the details in the profile are asked for proof later on in the application. I can't see any request for supporting docs for the FSWP eligibility test being asked later unless you've seen any?

I would recommend that you spend additional time reading through the detailed guide and information for EE on the IRCC website. All of this information is covered there. Obviously you cannot claim 2 years of work experience if you have only have 20 months of work experience. You can't round up and claim credit for work experience you don't have. You can't claim 2 years of work experience until you have at least 24 months of work experience.

You must have at least 67 points under the FSW points system to qualify for Express Entry. IRCC can determine if you have the 67 points based on the evidence you submit as part of your EE application post ITA. If you have less than 67 points, your application will be refused.

Thanks for your response. I had tried reading all the details on the IRCC website to get the details of how to claim work experience in years for the FSWP Eligibility Test but couldn't find anything that answered that question directly. I was just going by the word of a friend who had told me his attorneys claimed 2 years in the FSWP Eligibility Test for a job where he had worked only for 14 months and still got approved for PR through Express Entry and is now in Canada. So I thought I could claim the same when in my case I had worked for 20 months.

Do you know for sure that I can't claim my overall work experience time for the FSWP Eligibility Test but only have to claim the most time in 1 single NOC. I have 3 different NOC's I have worked in the past which totalled up for 3.5 years so I was wondering if I can claim that instead of just the 20 months?

If I claim to have worked for the 2-3 years option, I will get 70 points for the FSWP Eligibility Test. Otherwise, If I claim to work for 1 year, I will have 68 points. That is still above 67 points but I'm worried if the threshold will increase in the future above 67 by IRCC, then I will no longer be eligible for FSWP.

I trust you know better than me but I'm just trying to know better to ensure that I don't miss out on my chances by claiming less than I should.
