Hello,

has anyone asked for urgent certificate and received it pretty quickly ? Is it possible to pick it up ?
Thanks for your help

Yes, the fastest way would be to request pick up of certificate with the agent, during the ceremony. Certificate will be available for pick up next business day. Do not request urgent mailing of certificate, as it will take 2 weeks to arrive (Montreal office).

Did you ask for urgent pick up ? How do we ask for that ?

I heard that if you ask for urgent certificate they ask you to reschedule the oath .
Yes I did with the agent during the ceremony. If you have proofs for your urgency, you will be given a pickup option, they will also give an option to reschedule but nothing forced.

Did you show them proof of travel ?

Yes I did otherwise request is not entertained

This is correct. I asked the first officer who checked us in to the virtual oath ceremony if my certificate could be expedited because of travel. His curt response was that it is not possible and he would go ahead only if I wished to continue and not postpone the Oath ceremony due to impending travel. Having waiting over three years, I thought better than postponing the Oath.
However, in mail back to the office, I addressed him as 'Officer XYZ', sounded more polite that Attn : XYZ. I got my certificate in exactly 7 days.

Did you receive the Certificate in regular mail or was it sent registered mail where you had to go to a location and sign for it?

Regular mail. I don't think there is an option of picking up from the office, but won't hurt to ask.

Hello ! I am in the same situation at the moment, was anyone able to pick it up the next day ? I hope I can get an answer Thank you !
