Hi all,

I complete 3 years of full-time work ex. on July 30, 2022 (all foreign work ex). My experience has been in one single NOC only. Based on the ECA, IELTS, age, etc., my CRS would be 481.

I wanted to know if I should create an EE profile today or should I wait to actually complete 3 years of foreign work ex?

With that score, you will not get an ITA most probably until few draws as there are many 500+ candidates in the pool waiting for a year and a half.
You can go ahead, and even if you get your ITA, you can wait until you finish the 31 days and submit your application if it was ready. You get 60 days to submit it after ITA.

You can get your application created, even now!

FYI, Express entry system follows MM-YYYY format, not DD-MM-YYYY format. Even at this moment you will get all the experience related points. So, no need to wait.

However, in case you're invited you can't apply before July 30.

Understood, thanks a lot to both of you for replying!

Also, on a side note, I have an approved student visa and will be entering Canada on 31 Aug 2022 to start my studies. Any idea if my EE profile in the pool will create an issue with CBSA officers?

Having an EE profile doesn't mean that you have applied for PR unless you're invited and submit the application with documents. So, no impact.
