SDS application— medical exam not applicable for Indian applicant?

I’m an Indian citizen applying through the SDS category to study in Canada. As stated above, I don’t think the medical exam is required for my application because I lived in the US for 8 months prior to coming to India in June. I’ll be leaving again (intended) to Canada directly in September (3 months of stay). Thus, I haven’t lived in a “designated country” for 6+ months in a row. I want to confirm my reasoning for not giving a medical exam. In the application portal, I’ll be uploading my reason along with evidence (I-94 history) of my US stay. Can anyone confirm this is okay to do?

But it says work and not study anywhere, research more I am not sure international students get this shorter period of study. Are you an American citizen?
I’m an Indian citizen but was studying in the US. It states this under “visit, work, study” requirements, not just work. Only require medicals for those from “designated countries” or certain professions.

I am still doubtful. You have to do that.
