There is no such thing as an open work permit LMIA. Is your LMIA exempt? NOC? Are you in Canada now with IELTS and EC.

What are the steps in an LMIA based non GTS work permit processing from India after application submission? Do we have to submit the passport? Can anybody help me with a step by step list?

When you are requested to submit your passport, only then you are required to. For now, you wait until a decision is made. Good luck.

I have received my OPR ( Original Passport Request ) letter
On July 8th
Exactly 3 months from the date of my Biometrics April 7th.
Excited for next steps.
