PCC WAITING

In the last 4 years, if you have visited India and stayed there for a continuous period of 183 days or more, then you'll need a PCC. If this is your case, you cannot apply without a PCC. It doesn't matter where you apply it from. It must be issued after the last time you visited India.
Example: If you are visiting India on (let's say) 1st July 2022 and shall return later (doesn't matter when you return, could be in 8 months). The PCC must be issued after 1st July 2022.

MY CASE IS : THAT I HAVE APPLIED FOR PCC BUT IT WILL REACH ME AFTER THREE WEEKS IN CANADA. BUT I NEED TO GO INDIA IN EMERGENCY. CAN I APPLY WITH PCC APPLICATION NUMBER ONLY? OR CAN I GO INDIA AND I WILL APPLY ONLINE FROM THERE AFTER GETTING MY PCC ? KINDLY GUIDE.

You will need a hard copy of the PCC (or a scanned copy if applying online). So, you will require the actual PCC. Only having the PCC application number doesn't suffice.

But wait, this becomes a bit complicated. You must mention in the physical presence calculator that you are not in Canada, and haven't returned yet.
Not sure, looks like you can't apply before returning to Canada. Hope that clears your doubts.

Hi.. In my case, i became a PR in June 2018, landed in Canada for 2 weeks and went back to my home country in June 2018.. came back permanently in May 2019 and have been here since.. i was looking to apply for citizenship but realised that i would need a PCC .. now I am going on vacation to India again in July 2022 for 3 weeks.. can i get the PCC from India (instead of applying it from here in Canada)? Is that acceptable to IRCC as a valid PCC? or would you rather say i apply after i come back from India?
The truth is you must complete our application while you are in Canada.
In your case, you should wait and apply after your trip. Again, the waiting process is 27 months now so applying now or after 1 month doesn't make a big difference.
