It's not a bad idea for you to apply for CAIPS notes first (where the same VO will explain the exact reason of rejection). The rejection letter you have received is quite generic and is handed out to all the rejected cases. The fee will be 40 CAD for CAIPS and usually takes a month. But it's worth waiting for it. Now, one thing that you and others applying for Para-legal can work on is - whatever course in Law you pursue, laws will be based on country to country basis. In India, you will study IPC etc etc. Here when you pursue a course say in Ontario, you will learn the laws of here not India. So what they might think most likely the students will end up settling here. A good idea is to establish a reason for you to return to your home country. If i were you, I would talk about many LPO (legal process outsourcing ) companies in India which caters to Canadian, american, british etc market where I will have a better opportunity to grab a good position. Also, one can talk about MNCs, there are plenty of Canadian, American companies with their setup in India and handle their domestic and international business from the shared services center. So you can mention in your SOP about this booming industry and how you can have an edge at the completion of your program.

could you please tell me why cannot apply for llm at osgoode as thier fees is also same as humber college paralegal graduate certificate?
i am in last year of my bcom llb and i am confused between llm and paralegal.

i heard that if you want basic knowledge paralegal/law clerk is better ( plus you can prepare for nca side by side). you only get 1 year work permit after 1 year llm? with 2-3 semester certifcate course you can get more?

so basically which is finanacially and considering work permit which is better?
secondly, what will you say to convince them thatwhy yo are doing paralegal in canada after llb from pakistan/india?

hey I am 5th year law student
I wanted to ask two questions-
1. If i choose any grduate certificate in law area , do i need to pay whole fee in one go or just for two semsters? like for paralegal fee is 26000$ for 3 semesters
2. what to choose ADR or paralegal graduate certificate? which is beneficial for getting visa and nca purposes?

hey aashdeep,
i have applied in paralegal graduate certificate program at humber college which is of one year program, for while applying for SDS category visa i needed to pay whole one year fees. so i guess if you also want to apply visa under SDS category you will be required to pay whole one year fees.

Good to know! I am having problems in achieving ilets 7 each for nca exams.
so for the time being i want to apply for this course.
Did you got accepted yet?

Yes they allow us to take admission in their college I've done 5year LLB course..and in college admission they don't ask for sop...
But I've prepared my sop for visa process.
I can share my sop ..idm!!

The big challenge will be to get approved for a SP given you are a lawyer applying for a paralegal program.
