Applying for a new Temporary Resident Visa from inside Canada while being on a Postgraduate Work Permit. I have a few questions.

Hi,

I want to apply for a new TRV from inside Canada because my previous one is expired.
My current situation is that I've worked for a company here in Canada for two months while being on a PGWP.

I have several questions I want to ask:
1. I got an offer of employment prior to joining the company I work at, and a letter of employment. But no mention of NOC or LMIA on either of those documents.
Should I answer "yes" or "no" to the question that asks, "do you have a written job offer?"

2. In this case, I should choose "returning worker" in the "purpose of my visit" field, right?

3. I have six months of gap between graduation and getting a job, during which I spent on job hunting. Would this cause a problem in the TRV application? Would it be okay if I enter "job hunting" in the occupation field between my study and my current job?

4. What are the minimum funds needed to be in my bank account, and do I need to submit any proof of funds? In the documents checklist, there's no mention of proof of funds, although there's a "client information" attachment option, which is optional. The thing is, throughout my study period and up until before I got a job, I received financial support from my parents. Would this be a problem in the application process, or should I wait until after six months of work before applying for TRV?

I would appreciate it if you could provide answers to the questions above, as I want to make sure that I'm not making any mistakes, considering that according to the government of Canada website, the current processing time for online application of TRV is 166 days.

Thanks in advance.

I applied for a TRV after getting my PGWP and I am answering based on what I did

Should I answer "yes" or "no" to the question that asks, "do you have a written job offer?" Answer Yes

2. In this case, I should choose "returning worker" in the "purpose of my visit" field, right?Yes that is correct

3. I have six months of gap between graduation and getting a job, during which I spent on job hunting. Would this cause a problem in the TRV application? Would it be okay if I enter "job hunting" in the occupation field between my study and my current job? Yes this is fine.

You can enter what you have. There is no minimum requirement,. You have been given a PGWP already. So this is a mere TRV against that one. So you should be fine.

I would appreciate it if you could provide answers to the questions above, as I want to make sure that I'm not making any mistakes, considering that according to the government of Canada website, the current processing time for online application of TRV is 166 days. Yes this is very very random . Some people get approved in 5 days while some wait 4-6 months as well. Been there done that and it is disgusting to say the least.

Best of Luck

Thank you for the reply.

Just want to clarify a few more points.

Since I should choose "yes" when answering the question about having a written job offer, does it mean that I need to attach my offer of employment letter, perhaps in the "client information" section, even if the application portal does not explicitly ask for it?

And regarding the funds, although there is no minimum requirement, and this is simply just TRV against my PGWP, as you mentioned, do I still need to attach proof of funds like bank statements, for example, even if it's not explicitly asked in the application portal?

I added Offer Letter, and an Employment Verification letter [ this is standard to the Canadian format issued by the company]

And regarding the funds, although there is no minimum requirement, and this is simply just TRV against my PGWP, as you mentioned, do I still need to attach proof of funds like bank statements, for example, even if it's not explicitly asked in the application portal? I combined 3 payslips and latest bank balance certificate and put them as a single PDF

Hello! I'm in the same situation, I will only attach pay stubs, employment letter etc.. but I was wondering what did you put on the IMM5257e form under "proof of funds"? It's a required field
