Yay. That’s great, finally some answer as to why it is refused. How are you supposed to pay?I just got email from embassy for reciprocity fees! It is not even 8:30 yet
Sorry, No idea. I have been concentrating only on Ottawa and Toronto embassy from the start as I planned to send in these places.Just checking if anyone knows of folks that have sent their application to Halifax/Calgary/Quebec for dropoff and what their processing timeline looks like? I only see Ottawa/Toronto/Vancouver for majority of the applications!
You have to send instruction page again for money order? I would say write a letter explaining this and also attach a note to instruction page so they dont miss this information when they look at it.Has anyone sent 2 ds160 confirmation pages to the embassy because they made a small mistake on the first one? I did and the embassy used the newer ds 160 number for my process but on the instructions page for follow up documents, it is still the old ds 160 number and I'm worried that it might confuse the embassy and take longer to adjudicate the case. Should I just handwrite the new number on the instruction page?
I called the call center but the agent said she couldn't change it on her computer and told me to email technical support. But on the automatic reply they say it takes 3-4 business days to reply
I did not include old one as I thought it will confuse them and they may use the older one. Maybe I should have included thatThanks @neha.ss I will write the note! Yes, exactly! I have been using the new ds1-160 number to track my case on CEAC. The old one still says "No status". I had actually called the consular section before sending and I was instructed to include both the new ds-160 and the old one and that the consular agent would use the new one. Did you also include the old Ds-160 in your package?
Same here. Wondering if processing at those is faster instead. Hence curious.Sorry, No idea. I have been concentrating only on Ottawa and Toronto embassy from the start as I planned to send in these places.
What was the reason for you to change the ds160? Was it after dropping off your package to Ottawa?I did not include old one as I thought it will confuse them and they may use the older one. Maybe I should have included that
And help center told me later that it shouldn’t be a problem and I should check ceac status with the new one as they will update. But because it’s already been more than 4 weeks I am worried that this whole ds160 could be reason for my case delay. I emailed Ottawa consulate niv email but never got any response. Can’t do anything now other than wait and hope
I really think you should be fine especially with the note. Because, I figure we aren't the only people in this situation and mine didn't cause an Issue. I didn't even write a note. I literally just included the new ds-160 confirmation page to the other documents and the consular agent figured it out. I think in your case, it is the backlog. There might be different piles for different visa category and mine could be moving faster because there aren't as many B2 renewal as there are H1B. I truly hope for good news for you guys soon.I did not include old one as I thought it will confuse them and they may use the older one. Maybe I should have included that

Some information on older DS160 was not correct. I found this before sending out my application package and decided to fill it again instead of getting any issue due of incorrect data. What was the reason for you to change the ds160? Was it after dropping off your package to Ottawa?
Yes. Hoping this week they remove backlogs of May applications. fingers crossed!I really think you should be fine especially with the note. On Immihelp, I read about someone that sent it to Quebec but his package got returned and he was asked to send to Ottawa insteadSame here. Wondering if processing at those is faster instead. Hence curious.
