Graduation Year for OINP

I am filling my expression of interest for OINP. It asks for my graduation year for bachelor's degree.

I completed my bachelor's in 2016, however, my degree was awarded in 2017(my school has a weird system of giving out degrees one year after the end of classes). On the degree certificate they say "he has successfully completed in the year 2016 the requirements prescribed for the award of this degree. Given this day, the 20th April 2017, under the seal of the institute."

Now, the question is what should I put in the "graduation year" field, 2016 or 2017?

Usually there are two certificates one that is given to you once you complete the degree. The other one is given to you on your graduation ceremony. Does the date match on both of them? If they are, than I assume you should go for that. As once you get WES they will print and take in the consideration the certificate sent by your uni.
