Is the SGVO truly non-responsive?

I've seen cases up to 6 months!! My god. Can you imagine?!

Most of us will be late for our Fall intakes!!

Also from Singapore I am still waiting for their reply after my biometric. For me it has been 3+ weeks since my application submission on 19 May.

6 months? Didn't realized it would take so long with SGVO. Was planning to fly by 22-26 Aug.

Do you know how long it take after submitting passport? Trying to figure out how long to wait to postpone it. For now If I don't hear anything by end July would probably have to postpone.

I applied in May 3rd, and got everything settled by May 9th regarding Biometrics. No medicals, no news.

The 6 months isn't by me - it's been reported by 6 different users. 4 from Bangladesh, 1 from Malaysia, and 1 from Singapore. I am surprised myself!

Passport requests and submissions for Fall usually happen by July / August. You've done all the hard work already, so you can relax.

No I didn't get the permit, still waiting. Sorry for misunderstanding. I will update edit that post. I am trying to decide when to postphone/cancel if I don't get any reply. So seems like can wait until early August. Thanks!

You can do upfront medical, that is what I did and then you can submit your medical result through the webform.

I'd rather not do that. The doctors might jam up the system by creating a new account for me and causing issues. It'll delay it further.

I did the upfront earlier than my submission, and it took only few days to get linked to my account. I do hear some folks who did upfronts and got into the problem you mentioned.

Yeah, you are smart to do that! I was foolish to not do it that way.

Does it matter if you are local? I thought Singaporean applications are processed faster.

It matters - Malaysians/Singaporeans/Bruneians/Bangladeshis are processed normally I believe. Non-residents of these nations residing in these countries will face some delays due to background checks I believe.

Have you got any updates? My VO is in Singapore too. Other than a police certificate request on 1st June, I haven't received any request for medicals.
