Ontario DL Query: Urgent help needed

Hi All,

I am a newcomer to Toronto. I have an expired US DL from Georgia (16 months since expiry). I have applied for DL abstract which should soon reach me via a friend living in Georgia.
I am looking for suggestions to directly get G. is that possible?


1. Do I need a Certified copy for Non certified will do? I already have the non certified one.

I have also applied for my India DL abstract which has around 15 years of driving experience. I have a summary of what all will come in. The certificate will go to my home in India and it can be mailed to me thereafter.

2. Do i need this certificate Hard copy or will the summary work?

Again, I am looking for suggestions to directly get G.

It should show the date your first (NOT THE RECENT) drivers license was issued. I think (if my googling skills are working for me) you have to request something like DDS-18 in section-3 selecting "LIFETIME GEORGIA MVR" box

I had a similar issue when dealing with NJ Abstract. Drivetest did not accept it and i had to go get additional forms. Hope this helps.
