Background check still in process test marked as completed

My test has been completed but BG check is still in progress. Do you guys think it would be wise to email them(the same email that the test invite came from) to ask about an update for my file?

Don't think its a wise thing to do! that's not what it mean for! its frustrating though, we're all in same boat!

Hmm.... Interesting ... June 2021 applicant here. AOR1 on 23 Sept 2021. Test Invite on 10 Mar 2022. Everything is showing as 'In process' except for Citizenship Ceremony.

I believe most Visa Officers tend to update online profile at the end of application process. BGC goes to different department (CSIS, CBSA and other partner agencies) which is not within IRCC. Remember that online profiles don't get updated automatically. CSIS/CBSA and other partner agencies provide recommendations to IRCC officer and on that basis, Visa Officer decide what action to take. So, it's possible that Visa Officer have received recommendation from Security Agencies, but haven't updated your online profile because they don't see the point of doing it right now. It's only Visa Officer assigned to your case who can update your online profile.

Could be, though usually BGC checks are the first thing to complete prior sending test invites ( not necessarily always), my case is bit different as they requested FP back in Dec 21 (Done and received by IRCC), Feb 15 sent me test invite done on 18th and and turned complete next day!

Hello everyone! In a similar situation:

Applied online: August 2021
AOR: Oct 2021
Test Invite: March 2022
Test cleared and completed March 2022
BGC still in progress

Never received the test invite email so not sure what my processing office is.

Does anyone have an average time it is taking to get BGC completed after test is done ?

Sad. Almost all people who applied in the same month as mine, July, 2021, are getting invited to oath. I am stuck at BGC. Somehow there is discrimination that nobody talks about against certain group of people. I looked into it closely through different social media platforms. Citizenship is a privilege not a right!

What everyone is afraid to say and talk about is the fact that applications are also based on Ethnicity/Race...
Yes, European /White/Caucasian applications take priority!

Blacks/Africans etc etc are processed last.

And before the naysayers comes to say this isn't so... this is a well known fact among Lawyers and immigration representatives..
People like to pretend racism magically died and disappeared.. It hasn't..
Its still the driving force behind much prejudice in our society!
It's what stops minorities(mostly blacks) from getting mortgages, grants business loans etc.
Its what's causing Alcohol and drugs pumped into Native Reservations and communities (no its not drug dealers doing it.. its the Fedds....

But of course many will come bashing what i just said for obvious reasons...
We light candles for all the native women mysteriously missing/murdered.
We light a candle for all the kids killed in Residential schools (Who killed them? Crazy serial killers? No... The government and churches)

Keep believing this system is fair and unbiased and has equality ....

The tracker is showing you applied on July 22, 2021 and got AOR on Sep 29, 2021.
