PGWP extension (public policy)

Hello,

I applied for my PGWP extension in late January due to my passport expiry in March. I'm still waiting for the decision, but when approved, I should receive the remainder of my PGWP going till Nov.23'. It has only been around ~10 days past the expected processing times when I applied(which was around 117 days I believe in Jan22')

My question is, under the new public policy to allow "extension of Post-Graduate Work Permits (PGWPs) expiring between January 31 to December 31, 2022", I would technically qualify for this clause. Has there been any more recent news about the specific details of how they are processing these extensions? (i.e. for people who have had to already apply for an extension because their PGWPs were expiring in march to say.)

Feel free to use this thread to explain your extension timelines as well!

Unfortunately I don't think you'll fall under the policy since once approved, your PGWP extension will be valid until next year.

However the full details of the 18 month extension haven't been released yet. So I don't think anyone will be able to answer your question fully until those details are out.
