Hello,

i have my drivers license with an old address ( I forgot to update it). When I do my oath, is it going to be a problem?
And when I apply for passport, is it going to be a problem?
I don’t want to update it now because I move a lso I’m wondering if during the oath they check the address on the ID and for the passport application, do they check the address on the ID?

Anyone in a similar situation ?

Oath:
Different address is not a problem. Make sure update your file with current address where you can receive the certificate safely and easily which is important than having the right address on id card.
I showed totally different province's ID cards. No issues of course.

Thank you for your answer! Just to make sure I understand correctly. During the oath you gave them your updated address and you showed them a driver license Id with another address ? And there was no issues ?
Did you get your passport?

Address on file: Edmonton.
Showed ID cards: PR card and Ontario health card.
Many have moved and many have different address which you can find many told different addresses in the forum.
Officer only will ask if the address on file is ok to receive certificate which means that address on file and address you show on ID doesnt matter. All they need is ID.

Passport: I am yet to apply hence i didnt comment on it.
I dont see that they are asking for address proof. They are asking only ID proof.
But if you apply for whole family then they might ask for ID for all under same address. But this is my assumption as i dont know.

Yes of course. Check the list as they do accept it.
