Whether you need an interview usually is dependent on your relationship history. If you have proof of in person dating for a long time and then marriage you usually don’t need an interview. If you have very little time together in person, it os an arranged marriage, there are red flags like large age differences then chances of needing an interview increases. If you are receiving disability you could be asked to provide more financial documents (like proof of savings) or provide a plan as to how your spouse will enter the workforce in Canada if there is a concern that you will only be living off of your disability payments.
