Hi dear friends, I posted this in another thread but didn't get response yet, so I would like to post it again here. Sorry for any inconvenience. Currently I have an urgent problem that my work permit and visa will expire in three months. I guess I should apply for extending my current permit and visa. I checked on the IRCC website, and it seems like the Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) is most suitable for my case. However, it requires my PR application being approved in principle (AIP). AIP is defined as

• you have received a letter from IRCC stating that you meet the permanent residence eligibility requirements, but
• you still have to pass the medical, security and background checks for you and, if needed, your family members.

in the Gloassary of IRCC website. However I am not sure if my application is AIP or not. I received the AoR from IRCC in July, 2021, but didn't get any status updates since then. Now my progress bar has reached 91%, but they are still reviewing my eligibility. Does this imply my application is AIP? How can I check this? Any information or suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.

I noticed you got your AOR on 2022-02-22. That definitely was a lucky day (same day as my SINP Nomination), so your application has worked out wonderfully quickly!

Update: My PR Card application on GCKey is approved today. The status is now "We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive." However, the photo on the PR portal is the same "In preview with IRCC"

Hi, I wonder how you submitted your upfront medical certificate. Did you submit it through webform? If you submitted from webform, what did you select and include in the enquiry? Also, what is the "acknowledgement receipt of medical"? Is that the auto-reply confirming you sent them the message, or did they send you a separate email say? I also did upfront medical, and submitted the certificate through Webform like 1.5 mths ago. I received the medical exam request yesterday, so I just wonder. Thank you!

Yes it was the auto response I got. No one is really able to predict their next step. I think you should just send the medical again since they have now asked for it. Same thing happened to me at ADR stage, I submitted through web form yet they asked for the same ADR 1month later. We don’t have a choice but to be patient and keep hope alive

Hi,

I got my Medical request on May 2, when I did it upfront on April 2. I have contacted the doctor's office and they confirm it was processed on April 14. Considering the fact that there is a backlog of medical exams to process at IRCC, should I just wait for it to be updated or should I sent the report through webform or mail?

My Timeline is:

AR May 3, 2021
AOR April 7, 2022
ADR April 7, 2022 - For me and my husband, Mine submitted April 14 and my husband's April 24
Bio request April 11, 2022
Bio passed: April 21
PAL for me: April 20
MR: May 2

I suggest you should send them a webform and request for your file number. They will most likely send a TFN which confirms that your file is in queue for processing
